Grooming week #2 has been great! The feed back has been tremendous. Thank you everyone for the 5 star ratings and words of encouragement. Everyone is asking the question why would you want to start a mobile pet grooming business? There are a few reasons: 1. It is really gratifying seeing how happy it makes the owners of the pets after they see how handsome or beautiful their little pets come out. It just makes the owners smile when they get their hands back on their clean critters. 2. It is even more gratifying to know that you made the pet feel better. When you groom a pet that has matted or tangled hair an...d have them smelling clean and fresh, the pets react even more than their owners. Who doesn't want to look good? 3. I really appreciate the fact that I can put my veterinary technician degree and so many years of being in the animal field to use in a fun way. It really helps knowing how to assess an animals behavior and appearance and give their owner feedback on how you think the pets are doing. I am in no position to diagnose an animal but it is always helpful to provide some professional perspective on their health and demeanor. It also goes without saying that some pets don't enjoy the experience of grooming and it is very helpful for me to be able use my experience to ease that stress where I can. 4. Finally, it is a blast starting up your own business and meeting so many new people and animals along the way. To be able to get input from so many friends and guidance is a real life lesson. You learn quickly, you don't know everything and it's ok to ask for help and support. I am fortunate to have friends and family that provide that. See more
