The most common thing clients say to me after I do their make up is can I take you with me everywhere? Although I can’t be with you every day - your wedding day is the one day where you CAN have me be with you all day! I offer touchup services to make sure that you are picture perfect all day long. We are human - things happen! Brittany booked touch up services with me so I was able to reapply her lipstick so she didn’t have to think twice about it or wonder if she was app...lying it evenly (After lots of kisses, drinks, and chatting it up with your loved ones, a lipstick touch up is bound to be needed!) When you get your brides photos back and you don’t know which one to choose so you post them all! Everyone’s three most important vendors varies from one person to the next but here’s my personal three in order 1. Photographer - after all is said and done and the night is over... all you will have left to hold onto are your photos! This should be one of your biggest investments. Don’t let all the energy you spent planning this beautiful day go to waste by having subpar photo...s to capture it! Even as a makeup artist I get SOOO excited when my brides mention certain photographers they are using. Especially if you’re someone like me who has NO idea how to be graceful in front of the camera - you’re going to need someone who knows how to set up the perfect shot and give you direction. (Just like @neverthereyet who is responsible for the gorgeous photos above!!) 2. Hair & Makeup (they go hand in hand) What’s the point in investing in a great photographer if you don’t like how you look in those photos?! Don’t you wanna show your grandkids your wedding photos and have them say damnnn grandma you were a SNACK! Or whatever slang term they’ll be using by then Now you wouldn’t hire an architectural or landscape photographer for your wedding day right? You’d hire a wedding photographer. Same goes for your makeup and hair. It is imperative you hire bridal specialists instead of Sally who does her friends hair and makeup here and there for $50. Ask my brides who have come to me after having their friends do their trial Having a beauty team that is experienced in bridal will make all the difference in having a stress free morning. 3. DJ - I don’t know about y’all, but if the music ain’t right I’m not having a good time!! I’m the person my friends ask to make a playlist for a party and I’ll end up sitting in the corner playing DJ all night. The party vibe has the be rightttt and it all starts with good music and good people (including who your DJ is!) What should you be prepared for when it comes to your trial appointment? Communication, communication, and more communication! It’s important to know that your idea of natural, bold, or glam is different from one person to the next and unfortunately us artists can’t read your mind. Bringing makeup inspiration photos is a great starting point to help us understand your vision, but what exactly about these photos do you like? What are some things you don’t like? (this is super... helpful as well!) The more details the better. There is no such thing as oversharing when it comes to your trial. It’s important to express any adjustments you want to make once your look is complete or your artist will never know how to improve it to your liking. I promise you won’t hurt our feelings!
