The intersection of fashion, consumer goods, and telecom retail The intersection of fashion, consumer goods, and telecom retail can work for each other, according to Eric Fitzgerald of Tailor Consulting Group LLC. He shared his insights with B2B Soft and here are three commonalities that he found between these areas: First, we have seen in all areas that ecommerce activity has surged. There are a number of reasons for this, but high on the list are consumers’ fears about heal...th, safety, and security. Second, brick and mortar stores will continue to operate but will evolve into more experiential centers with greater personalization. Expect showrooms, and fulfillment hubs, from stores to kiosks. Third, and this one is critical for telecom retail, automation including all forms of self-service and contactless payments will in fact permeate and dominate the sales activities in the store. While this is in evolution, we can see the layout shifting as kiosks become more prevalent and the retraining of the workforce receives higher priority while intelligent POS systems eliminate low value activities. #retail #marketing #business #innovation #automation #technology #digital #telecommunications #kiosks
Use of kiosks continue to grow - telecom retail gets example in Brooklyn B2B Soft is always on the lookout for new uses of kiosks to share with our telecom retail colleagues. We found an interesting and fun example at the Brooklyn Dumpling Shop in NYC. It showed us that telecom retail can leverage technology to engage the customer at a higher level in the store, just like they are doing at the Brooklyn Dumpling shop. At the same time, delighting shoppers with new technologies... can turn them into brand ambassadors. (And the food's good too at the dumpling shop). #retail #innovation #technology #kiosks #digital #marketing #automation #telecommunications https://b2bsoft.com/touchless-commerce-in-nyc/
Bitcoin and kiosks Kiosks have introduced efficiencies and opportunities in the retail telecom section by facilitating transactions on all manner of merchandise. The payment methods have not been equally disbursed. It’s either US currency or a credit or debit card. But there is no intrinsic need for such a limited variety of payments. Recently MoneyGram said it will let people buy and sell bitcoin for cash at its retail locations. Interesting development. Do you think bitcoin could make the leap to telecom retail as another form of payment? https://www.coindesk.com/moneygram-to-allow-bitcoin-buying-
