Today we made our first butterfinger cheesecake! It was also my first time using a water bath with a cheesecake. My water bath failed and left me with a soggy crust. However the cheesecake is still good. The crust acts like a soft brownie crust now. Definitely a keeper recipe with some tweaks!
Finished product: homemade vanilla cake filled with a chocolate ganache, topped with homemade chocolate buttercream. Garnished with homemade milk chocolate covered pretzels and an assortment of chocolates!
We made our first cheesecake for Mother’s Day today!
We have a two layer homemade vanilla cake with a chocolate ganache filling. Chocolate frosting with a chocolate drip, and garnished with chocolate cover raspberries. We’re still working on our chocolate drip skills. What kind of cake for you prefer? Chocolate or vanilla?
