Congratulations to our 8 newest black belts, who received their belts yesterday! This black belt test was definitely different than those of the past, but this group of kids showed tremendous dedication. They could have given up in the face of adversity- but they didn’t. We watched as they turned their houses into their own dojos, and continued their training on Zoom. They showed up to class in the middle of summer when the sun was beating down on them. They continued to show up to class in the cold, and did not complain. Their dedication is remarkable, and as we continue to talk about goal setting in class, remember these black belts, and how they had to overcome so much to achieve one of their longest goals.
