A surprise, socially-distanced award presentation recognizing Abe Morelli for FIFTY years in Rotary. Decades of service require commitment, both from Abe and his family. Baldwinsville Rotary is proud to have Abe as a member and happy to get to celebrate this milestone with him!

We know CNY is a generous place where people adopt other families or children to provide gifts, and many donate to and support food programs that provide meals to those in need. It might be a little harder to shop this year, but the Christmas Bureau has it covered. You can support this program that provides a Christmas dinner, toys and books to thousands of families in need. It's #WorldPolioDay and time for our club to take action. We'll be marching through town in our #EndPolioNow shirts to create awareness, ending in Baldwin Canal Square just in time for our Pints for Polio 2020 drive-thru event at WT Brews - Baldwinsville. From noon until 4pm we will be offering a socially distant drive-thru around the WT's building, selling fried sugar waffles and a custom brewed autumn amber ale. Today we were able to do some hands-on volunteering with Sleep in Heavenly Peace - NY, Syracuse, assembling 25 beds. We sponsored this build to be done last spring and it was pushed to the fall, but it was pushed to a beautiful day for us! Thanks to our members and their friends and family that came out to sand, drill, cut, assemble and even brand these beds that will go to local families whose children do not have their own place to lay their head at night. We have a fun and interactive meeting this week that you will want to know about. Tuesday night's Think Tank discussion will be on the Netflix movie The Social Dilemma. We will also be hosting a Netflix Party tomorrow night (Monday at 8pm) to watch the movie or you can watch it on your own prior to the meeting. Comment below or message us directly if you want to be invited to the Netflix Party Monday night and/or the Tuesday Think Tank discussion at 7pm. This will be a multi-generational discussion on the movie, which is about how internet algorithms influence what we see and how that can shape our view of the world.
