Thanks to the 40 people who came out today on our socially-distanced, covid-safe "Walk in the Park- with History" tours of Anchor Diamond Park at Hawkwood. In the Spring, we'll do more tours so others, too, can see what the park is all about!

Check out the new QR code sign at the Hawkwood Mansion in Anchor Diamond Park. By accessing the code, you will hear and see details of the old mansion of which only the foundation still exists. (The Mansion is only 1/4 mile from the parking lot.) And.....stay tuned for info on a historic tour of Anchor Diamond Park coming December 5. Details will follow soon.

Halloween pranks are frowned upon these days but in Burnt Hills 100 years ago, they were common. Each year, kids would steal items from nearby homes and run them up the flagpole in the center of the Kingsley-Lakehill intersection (then known as the intersection of East, West, North and South Streets). One year, they did the impossible: they ran up the flagpole a TOILET!!
