Join us at 9:00am for our Spiritual Formation Class! We are in person and online. We are starting a new topic this week, studying the shocking, wonderful, perplexing goodness of God's Providence. It's a word that describes the good news of all things being under the purpose-filled rule of our Heavenly Father! Studying doctrine is one way to love God with all of our mind, to better love and trust the One who loves us.... We are spending a fair amount of time meditating on the great story of Esther at 9:00am on Sundays. How does the story of Esther become more Jesus like when we walk through unasked for suffering? I could never myself believe in God, if it were not for the cross. The only God I believe in is the One Nietzsche ridiculed as ‘God on the cross.’ In the real world of pain, how could one worship a God who was immune to it?...That is the God for me! He laid aside his immunity to pa...in. He entered our world of flesh and blood, tears and death. He suffered for us. Our sufferings become more manageable in the light of his.
