Battenkill Drahthaar leashed tracking service

Found a 17 hour old gut shot buck today. This is her 3rd find of the season. The hunter backed out after he saw the hit which allowed the deer to bed within 300 yards and the track wasn’t tainted with blood from the hunters boots.

The season is off like a rocket, we had family obligations last weekend but took two tracks on Sunday. The first was a gut shot buck that we track for close to a half mile before running into a property line. The hunter was able to gain permission and Vt/ny leashed tracking service was able to recover the buck on Monday morning. The second was a doe that had the intestines blocking the exit hole. There was minimal blood but the dog was able to take us right to her in just a few mins. I took bad pictures that night! Shoot straight but give us a call if you need help.

We helped recover this 8 pointer last night in Melrose. 12 hours after the shot and the blood was not visible since the snow had melted.

Last night we helped a hunter recover this doe. The track was a liver hit and was 24 hours old by the time we got there. We tracked it roughly 200 yards across a green field without seeing a speck of blood. The hunter did things right and backed out after a questionable hit he also avoided searching ahead of the last blood before we got there which made the job much easier for the dog.

We helped a hunter in Easton recover this nice buck this morning. He knew he made a marginal hit and backed out to give the buck plenty of time before tracking.
