Dear Patients: We have exciting news! We are reopening for ALL dental services on TUESDAY, JUNE 2ND!! As we mentioned in our previous email, to ensure the safety of our patients and staff we have made some changes/additions. Our entire team will be back in the office on Monday for one last review of all updated protocols and procedures so we are ready to serve you safely and efficiently. In the meantime, we'd like to remind you that infection control has always been a top ...priority for our practice. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it's both safe and comfortable. Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agencies' recommendations. REMINDERS: - Our office will communicate with you before your appointment to ask some screening questions. You may be asked those same questions multiple times when you are in the office. - When you arrive for an appointment, we ask that you remain in your car and call the office. We will call/text you when we are ready for you to enter. - Upon entering the office, we ask that EVERYONE wears masks/face coverings when not receiving treatment. - We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the office and then we will take your temperature with a non-contact thermometer. - There are new barriers at the front desk for check in and check out safety - You may see that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, children's toys and so forth, since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect. - We also ask that ONLY patients enter the office (small children are an exception). - Additional PPE will be worn by all staff members. - Enhanced disinfection of all clinical AND non-clinical areas - Improved air circulation and filtration We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. Dear Patients, Although NYS Phase 1 reopening has begun as of May 15th in our region, please be aware that dental offices remain closed for non-emergency procedures. We are waiting for further direction from NYS and will let you know as soon as we can begin seeing patients for routine preventative and restorative care.
