Brooklyn College Adult Literacy Program 13.12.2020

Our Director has been recognized for over 30 years of service. In 1987, while completing her undergraduate studies at Brooklyn College, Frannie Rosenson volunteered in the newly created Adult Literacy Program. After earning her degree, she was hired as a basic literacy instructor and began her 30 year career in adult education. Frannie has taught Adult Basic Education, High School Equivalency and English for Speakers of Other Languages. As director of the program, Fran...nie coordinates the teaching staff, writes grant proposals, manages the annual budget, and supervises curriculum development. She is most proud of the accomplishments of the gifted teaching staff and hard-working students. As a second generation American and the first in her family to complete college, Frannie is committed to serving the Brooklyn College community. Since Frannie Rosenson has been part of this program, 1,176 individuals have earned their high school diplomas and 346 have enrolled in college. See more
