We've had a busy summer with socially distant in-person programming and virtual programming! Check out our Summer Newsletter to learn more!

In the BEAM SUMMER ROBOTICS program eleven high school students and five industry mentors are busy building and programming electrical circuits. Each week, students meet via zoom and divide into small breakout groups of two, where they work side by side with an industry mentor. Within small groups, we provide students individual attention and move at the appropriate pace. Even when virtual, we keep classes hands on at BEAM. All students are provided with an arduino starter kit, complete with breadboard, LEDs, and electrical accessories. If necessary, students are loaned laptops for the duration of the program. In the most recent project, students built and programmed a traffic light system.
