Although summer days are long gone, we are happy to continue bringing warm smiles to the lives of children everywhere. Our Chanukah project with Friendship Circle Valley Chabad was a huge success! Families from the Friendship Circle were excited to have a COVID safe opportunity to give back during the Holidays. Teenagers and volunteers had fun decorating, preparing and distributing gift boxes stuffed with Chanukah gifts and our own teddy bears to senior residents of local Assisted Living Facilities. Because of the pandemic, this project was a special moment for all those involved. Seniors who have gone into complete lockdown were happy to have Chanukah materials, activities, and of course a new fluffy friend! COVID-19 hasn't stopped the Palm Beach Children's Hospital from spreading cheer this year! While this year's Holiday party looked different with various safety precautions such as masks, social distancing, and even a plexiglass screen between Santa and the children, everyone still had a great time! Santa gave out plenty of bears this year, and while the Hospital was only expecting a small number of children, PBCH was happy to safely welcome outpatients as well, and handed out even more Christmas bears as gifts.
