September was Child Cancer Awareness Month. In honor; I would love to share my clients beautiful story. Meet Emily. At the age of 8 she started cutting and donating her hair when another student in her school was diagnosed with cancer. In October of 2014 at the age of 15, Emily was diagnosed with Stage 2B Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. One of the first things she said after the Doctor left the hospital room was Can we hurry and donate my hair one more time before I go bald? So a few ...days before she started chemotherapy she was able to donate a total of 12 more inches of hair to another child in need. As of this October 2020; Emily is HEALTHY and over 5 years cancer FREE...and donating all over again. This experience has warmed my heart in a way that I can’t even put into words. Going through this with her and her mom was so moving it brought us all to tears. I couldn’t be more proud of her constant humility and strength. This was hands down the most difficult set of eyebrows I’ve done so far! I tinted what brows she had which were mostly blonde and hard to see. There was a patch... where there was no hair at all (by the head of her brows) that would not take the pigment, so I showed her how to fill it in with pencil.
