The Wellness Committee at Intandem held the Olean Corporate Challenge (Virtual) Walk last night. Despite the rain, everyone was all smiles! Special thanks to The Hungry Burro for providing a meatless healthy alternative for the participants.

Local Girl Scout, Julia Wasley, just completed her Gold Award service project she entitled Craft Cupboard for Intandem and donated her entire project to individuals with disabilities who attend the day habilitation programs at Intandem in Niagara County. Julia spent over two years compiling her project, which included organizing instructional binders and flash drives with detailed directions for numerous crafting projects, as well as gathering a large assortment of yarn, ...holiday decorations, and various other crafting supplies. She collected the supplies by soliciting donations from many companies, including 3M and Scotch. Julia, who recently began her freshman year at Niagara University, dedicated her project to her aunt Lyla, who attends the Day Habilitation Program at Intandem in Niagara Falls. Larry Sorokes, Chief Development Officer at Intandem, expressed appreciation on behalf of the agency. We are very grateful to Julia for all of the time and effort she put into this donation, as well as the many local people who contributed to her project. Since many of the individuals we support are currently homebound and unable to be out in the community, her gift is especially timely. We will begin sharing these crafting projects and supplies throughout our programs immediately. Big shout out to the folks from Intandem for bleaching and drying over 1,300 pumpkins!! Thanks you Kathleen Mills Grandusky for volunteering to help again this ...year!! We are so proud to have this amazing group as part of this process, they love helping as much as we love having them help!! It’s a perfect partnership and we are definitely blessed!! This weekend they will get on to the painting process and Kim has everything ready and waiting!! Whooooooo Thank you, everyone!!!

The Rehabilitation Foundation wrapped up its summer raffles last weekend, with the $1,000 Labor Day cash prize going to Lola Cicarelli of Olean. The final sweepstakes prize drawing, an Infiniti four-door sedan, was won by Tom Manko on behalf of Archbishop Walsh High School in Olean. We have been overwhelmed by the generosity of our sponsors, prize donors, and community members, all of whom collectively contributed well over $50,000 in sponsorships, prizes, and ticket purchases. This will assist the foundation immensely in continuing to help the Intandem agency and the individuals we support. Many thanks to all!
