Just a friendly reminder. To clarify, this is in accordance to the FCC’s new suicide prevention hotline that will be utilizing a new three digit number. I’m doing so they are changing to a ten digit system even for local calls as as to not mistakenly dial the emergency hotline. The new suicide prevention hotline number will be 988.

Our friends at CPD along with St Joe’s and the DEA are putting together a prescription drug disposal drop off. Please, if you have any unused or out dated prescriptions consider getting rid of them at this event. It’s the safest way to dispose of them.

Effective November 1, the NY State Vehicle and Traffic Law has been amended to require that all back seat passengers in a motor vehicle, including those that ar...e 16 years of age or older, be restrained by a safety belt. In the event of a crash, a rear passenger without a seat belt on can injure or kill the front occupant as they can be pushed all the way into the steering wheel or dashboard. Stay safe and buckle up!

Are you joining us on Saturday for our Drive-thru Trunk or Treat Event?? If you did reserve tickets, we are looking forward to seeing you and we are asking ever...yone to follow these safety guidelines listed below. The guidelines will ensure that our event is able to run safely and smoothly. PLEASE REMEMBER YOUR NON-PERISHIABLE FOOD DONATION FOR RESSURECTION LIFE FOOD PANTRY!!!!! 1. Please DO NOT show up early for your time. 2. Have either your printed tickets ready or have the event QR code loaded on your phone. 3. Please do not get out of your vehicle for any reason. 4. Enter the event on Greenleaf Lane from Harlem Road. 5. There is a 3 MPH speed limit in effect in the park for the event. 6. This event will have ONE stop for a candy exchange. 7. You will receive TWO oversized pre-packaged candy bags (per car) filled with tasty treats donated by all of our participating partners and generous businesses at the end of the event. 8. Our volunteers handing out candy will have masks and gloves on. 9. This will also be the area to donate your nonperishable food item for the Resurrection Life Food Pantry. CPD is hosting a car seat event on Thursday August 27th from 10am to 1pm at the Cheektowaga Police Station located at 3223 Union Rd. Due to Covid-19, they are doing this event by appointment only.
