Bensonhurst Volunteer Ambulance

Bensonhurst Ambulance Unit is deployed in the 911 system during today's winter storm. BVAS and FDNY Station 32 are working together to keep the community safe!

Please join us this Friday evening for a socially distanced community vigil on the 69th Street Pier. The program will also be streamed live.

Streets that are completely blocked by fallen trees and power lines prevent emergency vehicles from responding to emergencies. If you see a damaged tree or power line the city is requesting that residents report it to 311.

I’m here on Cropsey Avenue by Bay 47th Street. I walked over to thank the Con Edison workers who have been out all day and night making repairs. My frustration ...is with top leadership and not with workers. I appreciate their hard work and commitment to get repairs done as soon as they can. I’m told that restoration could be a matter of hours and not days like they initially told me. That’s progress, but I’ll stay on top of this issue until power is restored throughout Southern Brooklyn. I’ll keep folks updated as soon as I learn more and I’m here if any person is in need of assistance.
