Bergen Farms

6th Grade Field Trip at Bergen Farms- We live in a day and age when many children think milk comes from refrigerators and vegetables come from the local Walmart. When school children visit us, we want them to have fun with educational activities but our greatest hope is that they will leave with a better understanding of agriculture and an appreciation for farming. Thank you to the students and staff for touring with us but we also want to say thanks for these amazing letters from the children!

This Pioneer P0157 may not be the tallest corn but it's the highest yielding corn we have seen this year and probably ever on our farm. The yield monitor was hi...tting 70,000 pounds per acre at 62% moisture. My brother Skip was so proud that he wanted his picture with it! It is a very good feeling to be chopping green corn after years of Northern Leaf Blight and last years drought. This year we have some rust but it's much better than what we have had the last 4-5 years. See more
