Beth's Bearded Dragons 02.11.2020

I am taking a break from breeding bearded dragons. I am still available for anyone that has any questions regarding bearded dragons. Thank you.

Darwin is definitely a senior. But he is still very active. Down side is that he is retired from breeding. I will be looking for a healthy male this summer. Hopefully one that isn't a baby. I would definitely like to get a couple more clutches from Marcella before she is too old.

If you have a bearded dragon that you can no longer care for, please let us know. Depending on re-homing fees, we may be interested. Also, we are adding a new service, bearded dragon boarding. If you need to travel, have a family emergency, whatever the reason, we can take care of your bearded dragon while you are away. Please contact us for more information.

Oh no, Darwin is in brumation! Brumation - What's it good for? Mating season! The top question we get asked is "why is my dragon lethargic and not eating?" The answer is simply, "brumation." Dragons do this to rest up for the upcoming mating season. No matter how hard you try, you will not stop them from doing what is natural to them - brumation. I always make sure that I have some type of food for them in the tank (for my own peace of mind) while they are in brumation - but generally they won't eat it. DO NOT turn off their basking lights (even if they aren't basking during brumation)!! Don't worry, this stage doesn't last that long. Maybe a couple of weeks. DO NOT attempt to force feed them during this time - this could be DANGEROUS to your bearded dragon. Let them do what comes natural!!

We have MOVED.....We are in a HUGE house now. Marcella and Darwin are getting ready for their mating season. I think Tank and Jeff-fa-fa are too!! Very possible that we will have two dragons laying eggs this year!!! YIKERS! The last clutch of eggs Marcella layed did not do to well. We gave her a little vacation and now she appears ready to go.
