New and Small Oil Paintings by Ann Stievater September 22 November 22, 2020 at Betty's Restaurant... 370 Virginia Street Buffalo, NY 14201 (716) 362-0633 Please stop in the restaurant to see this exhibition. Unfortunately there will not be an opening reception - but the show is available for viewing during restaurant hours. About the art and artist Of special interest to Ann are the beautiful cloud formations, colorful skies and reflective shadows resulting from Fall storms and the sun rising or setting. Her images are from landscapes she has observed in Western New York and Southern Ontario. Many of the pieces in this exhibition are small studies she makes before undertaking larger paintings (image above). Ann created the many of smaller (11 x 14 inches) still-life works in this show while confined to her small Buffalo condo as Covid travel restrictions kept her from her Ontario summer residence. Ann is currently a studio artist at Buffalo Arts Studio and is a member of WNY Artists Group, the Buffalo Society of Artists and the South Niagara Artists
