Thank you to the Washingtonville Teachers Association for their generous donation of an amazing breakfast from Betty's Country Kitchen for our crew.
Please read this message from Marie and Brandon Mancuso: Thank you so much for the love and support during this difficult time. We are grateful for all that the community has done for us. Whether it was dropping off a cake, the beautiful cards, thoughtful gifts, doing our food shopping, or stopping by with words of comfort. Just knowing that we have your continued support and friendship has helped us find strength and courage. We are deeply touched by your stories of Sal or... Mr. Man. He loved working as a teacher in Washingtonville and Cornwall schools. Sal found his passion for teaching later in life, but still managed to impact and inspire others. He took great pride in serving as a member of the Blooming Grove Volunteer Ambulance Corps. Through BGVAC, he was able to give back to the community he’d been a part of for thirty-four years. We will never forget your acts of kindness and your heartwarming messages for Sal. From the bottom of our hearts, please know how much we appreciate your support. We look forward to seeing you all when the world permits. We know Sal will always be watching over us and his spirit will be forever with us. With gratitude and love, The Mancuso Family See more
BGVAC joined Washingtonville FD and PD in remembering members of the armed forces who gave their lives for our country.
Thank you to the Kiwanis Club of Washingtonville for their generous donation made today.
THANK YOU to all the agencies and citizens who came out this morning to say goodbye to Sal Mancuso. The outpouring of support has been tremendous and we appreciate it greatly.
Thank you to 2 Orange County businesses for their support. Thanks to Gillin Custom Design for their donation of facemasks and to Harriman Army Navy for their donation of goggles.
What: Drive By for Mancuso Family When: May 9, 2020 Line up at 10:30 AM Where: Emergency Vehicle Line Up will be at Salisbury Mills firehouse... All other vehicles will line up in Station Road Square (2130 Rt. 94) Sal Mancuso lost his fight with Covid 19 on April 30, 2020. Sal was a volunteer with Blooming Grove Ambulance for 8 years and was a member of the Board of Directors for 3 years. Sal was also a substitute teacher in Washingtonville School District and Cornwall School District who was loved by many students and faculty. Unfortunately during the Coronavirus Pandemic we cannot give Sal a proper send off. We would like to do a drive by to show our support for Marie and Brandon on May 9, 2020. We will proceed from the line up areas and head North on Clove Road. The family will be near the intersection of Clove Road and Woodard Road. No vehicles will make the turn onto Woodard but will continue north on Clove Road and will disperse once they pass Glenwood Road.
It is with deep regret that the Blooming Grove Volunteer Ambulance Corps announces the line of duty death of Salvatore Mancuso, 66 years old, from Covid related illness. Sal was a dedicated volunteer member for the past 8 years and also served on the board of directors for the past 3 years and was a past Chairman of the Board of Directors. Services have not been announced at this time, but will be broadcast when they are.
Thank you to town resident and college student Abigail Butkus for her donation of KN95 masks and surgical masks. Her organization is raising funds to help with Covid 19 relief.
Thank you to Kevin Radday from Betty's Country Kitchen for delivering breakfast to our crews this morning.
After a very long 6 weeks, we realized that we have not had the time to thank those of you who have helped us during this pandemic. I am sorry we did not have the opportunity to thank each of you before this, and I'm sorry if I miss anyone. Thank you to the following: Auro Chemical owner Deo Persaud and his staff for the donation of hand sanitizer.... Kevin Radday from Betty's Country Kitchen for meals for our crews as well as the many signs he placed around town. We had many from the community who made masks for our staff, a few of them are Gabriella Cosentino, Adele Ferrigno, Laurisa Sampson, Bev Wetering, Barbara Edwards, Maureen McKenna Hogg and Cheryl Marie. Nathan Petrosky who made full face shields for our staff. Sharon Delmonico and her girl scouts for your donation of girl scout cookies. ServPro of North Orange County for disinfecting our vehicles. To our family at Washingtonville Fire Dept. THANK YOU for the sign out front last weekend. Once again, it has been a CRAZY 6 weeks and it is not over yet. If I missed anyone I am extremely sorry, I'm going back through emails and trying to remember all of the people who have helped. PLEASE continue to pray for our member that is still hospitalized. Chief Brian Bates
Please continue to pray for our member who is in intensive care.
Thank you to Betty's Country Kitchen for providing dinner for our crew tonight.
