In times like these, silence and complacency are the equivalent of taking the side of the oppressor. We as an organization feel that it is our duty to use our platform to show our support to the black community. We all have a role to play and that extends beyond social media. There are several ways that you as an individual can make a difference and show your support to the movement through your actions. Some of these include: Call/email government officials. Make donations ...to bail funds and organizations in support of the cause. Sign petitions that call for revised legislation and justice for those killed. Protest. We encourage people to reach out if they're confused about anything or want to know how they can help make an impact. In conjunction with our women's club, we have decided to raise funds for the Black Visions Collective, an organization based in Minnesota that is fighting for both equality and long term change. By supporting their work, we are supporting the pursuit of dignity, equality, and justice for all. Please help us by donating to the cause. Together we can and will make a change for the better. #justiceforgeorgefloyd #blacklivesmatter

Today we are asking for your help in assisting a former Binghamton rugger, Jim O’Brien (a.k.a. J.O.B). Job is part of the Class of 2017 and was a dedicated member of the program in his time at Binghamton. Kind-hearted and humorous off the field yet notoriously determined on the pitch, Job was a presence at the club and exemplified the spirit of Devils Rugby. In September 2019, Job was diagnosed with Leukemia and is currently in need of help. We are asking that friends, family, and fans of the team donate any amount they can to help him beat this. Please use the link in bio to find the Go FundMe to assist with Job’s medical bills. Wishing you the best of luck Job, we’re with you! #BURFC #AFD #ruckcancer #keephimoffthebench

Calling all high school players looking to study and play at the best public university in New York. Let us know if you are coming for a visit. We look forward to welcoming you to Binghamton!
Your boys took the fight to Albany and came out Victorious! Lots of blood subs, but your boys ended the game 43-7. The Devils lead the game 38-0 before Albany slipped a sneaky one through a crack. Tedward (@tedelorenzo) started the game hot with two tries, setting a great pace for the rest of the game. Tries would be spread across the team for the rest of the game as offloads and support lines looked strong. Stay tuned for next week... its going to be one hell of a game.

A beautiful day in the Southern Tier as Binghamton hosted Ithaca in a friendly pre-season scrimmage. The team took the opportunity to shake out the cobwebs. Some gaffs and some great trys from the vets to the rookies. Next weekend is home again against RPI.

Hello fellow alumni, family, friends and supporters of Binghamton Rugby After a successful fall season and semester on and off the pitch, the club is now in full preparation for the upcoming spring season. Be it 15s or 7s, close or far, everyone is excited to play. Practices, along with strength and conditioning training, are taking place on campus at the East Gym, across the street at United Health Services and at a new indoor venue 434 Sportsplex (Vestal, NY). Everyone... is doing their part for what will hopefully lead to a successful spring for Binghamton Rugby. We are also excited to announce a new collaborative effort between each club and alumni group the desire to have an updated sled for both clubs. From Rhino Sports, the Rhino Rugby Premier Sled is ideal for teams who want the maximum amount of feedback from their machine. Its heavy weight, low height and adjustable heads make this the perfect sled for top tier teams wanting to get the most out of their pack. The adjustable heads retract and adjust on three different planes. The Premier Scrum Sled is packed with accessories to make it extremely versatile. This is the ultimate sled for our clubs. After much discussion, club teams and alumni groups have committed to a designated portion of the overall cost we are hoping we can help each other push to build the future. The total cost for the sled is $6,350.00. The Men's Rugby Club, the Women's Rugby Club, the Men's Alumni Group and the Women's Alumni Group each have a goal to raise $1,587.50. Both clubs and alumni groups are currently underway with this exciting, promising initiative. Our goal is to have it on campus for the upcoming annual alumni day on Saturday, May 4. In order to reach this goal, we hope to have any support you can provide in place by Friday, March 22. The fundraising kickoff begins Monday, March 4. If we reach our goals, we'll order the sled on March 25! How to give: A separate account is available for both the men and women clubs. All gifts provided March 4 22 in those accounts will be used toward the individual group goal. Men’s Rugby Direct Gift Account In case your links do not work, visit the club sport giving webpage to access: https://www.binghamton.edu/campus-r/club-sports/giving.html If there are any questions, please contact Craig Dube (Senior Assistant Director, Campus Recreation) at [email protected]. Thank you in advance for any support you can provide to this wonderful initiative as well as your ongoing support overall. Best wishes and see you soon, William Billy Cusack, Men’s Club President Michael Geller and Brian Grills, Men’s Alumni Representatives Craig Dube, Campus Recreation
