Chesla Ann Lenkaitis, Ph.D., was promoted from an Associate Editor to an Editor of MEXTESOL Journal (MJ). MJ (www.mextesol.net) "publishes articles dealing with both practical and theoretical topics. Articles and reviews related to EFL teaching throughout the world are accepted for publication. Articles may be written in English or Spanish. MJ is a peer-reviewed, indexed (Scopus, Latindex), open-access journal." Way to go, Dr. Lenkaitis!
A big thank you to all of our cooperating teachers!
Dr. Chesla Ann Lenkaitis' article, Teacher candidate reflection: Benefits of using a synchronous computer-mediated communication-based virtual exchange," was recently featured in Teaching and Teacher Education (TATE). TATE is in the 96th percentile of CiteScore rank and is #42 out of 1,038 journals in education. Focusing on a 4-week virtual exchange that partnered teacher candidates with beginner and intermediate learners in their content area, Dr. Lenkaitis' article highlights reflection via video recordings. To access more information about her TATE article, please visit the link below. Congratulations, Dr. Lenkaitis! https://www.sciencedirect.com//a/abs/pii/S0742051X18319607

On April 21st (and coming up on May 7th!), the NYS Master Teacher Program at Binghamton University was honored to have Mrs. Murat offer workshops on Digital Citizenship for Master Teachers and Education Minor students. Congratulations on this honor! https://wskg.org/educ/maine-endwell-teacher-honored-by-pbs/
TLEL Graduate Assistant Yahya Bouhafa and Dr. Amber Simpson attended a Zoom panel titled "Perspectives on Mentoring and Working with Graduate Students" in which they represented TLEL and discussed the mentoring process. Nothing can stop educators, and we love to see these kinds of things happening while everyone is safe at home.
Another awesome song from Mr. Jackson at Unidilla Valley -- this time in celebration of Earth Day! https://www.facebook.com/terri.jackson.9279/videos/10158427429620850/
Unadilla Valley is conducting a "Virtual Spirit Week" to stay optimistic and spread school spirit while everyone is staying safe at home. We were sent this video of NYS Master Teacher John Jackson , a shining example of what Master Teachers look like. We love seeing this kind of thing and hope everyone is staying safe and optimistic! https://www.facebook.com/terri.jackson.9279/videos/10158401754390850/
