A huge Thank you to the Birdsall, Angelica and MTS crew and Dispatch for the amazing response and care given on the two calls early this morning .

2/12/21 At 03:08 this morning we along with Belfast and Belmont Fire were dispatched to 3248 County Rd 2A in the Town of West Almond for a structure fire. Thou...gh we had a great response for so early in the morning the fire was initially discovered to late and the sole occupant was unable to make it out of the residence. I ask for prayers for the family and for those who were on scene working the fire. These types of calls are so hard on everyone involved. Thank you so much to all that responded or assisted us, Belfast, Belmont, Birdsall, Rushford, Almond, Friendship, MTS, DC1, AL-51, Allegany County Fire Investigators, NYS Police, NYSEG, Town of West Almond, Allegany County Highway Department, Bainbridge Family Farms, and the Allegany County Dispatchers. Hands on hydrant training this morning. Very proud of these two gentlemen who have never had the pleasure of working with hydrants until this mornings call and did an amazing job!! One proud Fire Chief over here:)

This morning fire on Gillies Hill All family members are safe and getting assistance from Red Cross. We were able to reunite the family with their fur babies so they are safe with the owners. Outstanding job by all departments and everyone involved on this scene.
