We had a special visit from the Yates/Jones family recently. Naethan was our Shop With a Cop recipient last year. It was great to connect and see him again. Although they weren't able to participate this year, we were able to get the family a donation to bring some holiday cheer.

We knew this day was coming. Most, if not all repair/inspection shops have been open for months. To avoid any issues please have your vehicle inspected soon, if expired.

The 2020 Torch Run was a little different this year but we are still happy to participate. As always, a large group from Ft Drum attended as well as a group from various Jefferson County Public Safety agencies. Jefferson County Sheriffs Department, Road and Corrections Division, US Border Patrol, Jefferson County Probation, Cape Vincent PD, Jefferson County Office of Emergency Management, Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office, Watertown Police Department and Black River/Evans Mills PD.

School’s open, drive safe!

The Black River / Evans Mills Police Department investigated a two-car personal injury accident at about 5:23 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, at State Route 3 and S. Main Street in the village of Black River. Patrol witnessed a 2009 Kia Sportage turn left into the path of a 2017 Kia Forte. The driver of the Sportage was uninjured. The driver and passenger of the Forte were transported to Samaritan Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries, police said. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. Black River Fire and Ambulance responded to the scene.
