Today is the LAST DAY of our church partnership blitz of COVID testing and flu immunizations. Let's see if we can get to 1000 participants!! We are at over 850 now. Foodlink will drop off food today again. for those who need it. Enjoy this beautiful sunny day with us, safely - masked and distanced.

Please share - the Rapid Response Team, of which Community Fighting COVID is part - is pulling off this very important public health blitz. Please make sure that those who need COVID testing and flu shots know about it, and access it. You do not have to have symptoms to get tested!

Because of the predicted winds and rain today, we will be moving indoors. We cannot safely do COVID testing inside, but Aenon Missionary Baptist Church has grac...iously agreed to allow us to continue our flu vaccination and resource offerings indoors today from 12-7 pm. Although we will not have the "senior " dose of flu vaccine available, we are able to vaccinate most adults and children, so come on down to 175 Genesee Street! Convenient parking is located across Moran Street from the church for both community members and volunteers. We will be back to COVID testing when we can get back outside. That will be tomorrow at Greater Harvest Church, 121 Driving Park Avenue from 12-7 pm. If you still need your flu shot (or if the kids do) today will be a great day to get that done quickly. Bring your insurance card with you. If you don't have insurance, don't worry. We've got you!

Calling on our volunteers! Wondering how you can help during this pandemic? We need you. We have a big collaborative effort coming up with the Rochester Rapid R...esponse Team. We will provide FREE COVID testing and FREE flu vaccinations for our Rochester community October 5-10/17 at four of our churches, Aenon Missionary Baptist Church , Greater Harvest Church , Memorial AME Zion Church and HOuse Of Prayer And Restoration for three days each. Sign up - we need clinicians (immunizations and screening) AND non-clinicians (runners, ambassadors, registration, traffic). All hands on deck! We especially want the volunteers to be reflective of the Black and Brown community we are especially encouraging to participate. Sign up here - shifts are 3 to 3-1/2 hours each for clinics that will operate from 12-7 daily, Monday-Saturday for the 2 week stretch. We are thanking you in advance!! https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0D49AFA729A2FEC16-covid

Trust is just not there for COVID-19 vaccine trials and use. Oversight by Black physicians may be helpful, necessary.
