It is with deep regret the Blauvelt Volunteer Fire Company announces the passing of Ex-Chief, Life Member and Chairman Emeritus S. Burton Huested. Service information will be posted once available.

This morning at approximately 0556hrs the Blauvelt Volunteer Fire Company along with the Orangeburg Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a reported vehicle extrication on the Palisades Interstate Parkway. Upon arrival, it was discovered that one party was pinned in the vehicle. Crews from both departments worked quickly, and were able to disentangle the occupant and turn them over to EMS. Thank you to all that responded including South Orangetown Ambulance Corps, New York State Troopers PBA, Rockland Paramedic Services

Flashback Friday! In 1977 the building was "condemned" by members of the West-Nyack Fire-Department in an ongoing prank war with our neighboring fire department..... and we're still not over it....
