Good morning, we just wanted to update everyone on the deceased dog found in Brooklyn. We’ve traced the chip back to the Brooklyn ACC & they told us the dog was given to a rescue that will remain anonymous. This rescue had an adoption event at a Brooklyn Petco and the dog was adopted out for $25.00 without a background check or any reference checks on the ‘potential adopter’. After contacting the owner of the dog, who told us the dogs name was ‘Nicky’, she told us she gave th...e dog to her sister because she could no longer care for her. She was aware the dog ‘suddenly stopped breathing’ but thought the dog was cremated (which is obviously false). We can’t disclose anymore information because there is an active animal cruelty case open. Please know we are all trying to get justice for ‘Nicky’ If your dog passes away, they deserve a proper goodbye, a cremation & we understand not everyone can afford it but please don’t throw them in some random park, buried half way into the ground. That is heart wrenching. We are willing to help with cremation fees if money is the issue. Please contact us! We received a few messages regarding a deceased dog in Brooklyn. We responded ASAP, along with the 79th Precinct. The dog was buried half way into the ground, wrapped in a bag and in blankets (along with a ball). It’s a female short haired chihuahua that is chipped back to the Brooklyn ACC. There will be an animal cruelty case opening up because the dog had blood on her neck. I have no words at all, I am beyond disgusted at how someone can do this. FOUND DOG He was found this morning at 9:30 AM in Jackson Heights on 82nd Street between 30 & 31 Avenue. We went to the vet to get him examined. He’s between 5 and 7 years old, cocker spaniel, 33 lbs. Besides a bad ear infection (that is being treated), he was also given medicine for his skin. It could be allergies, we don’t know but we’re hoping the meds help. If you’d like to contribute towards Charleys vet bill, it is greatly appreciated.
