Some good advice, courtesy of the folks at Medicare: Did you know that gardeners can be prone to tetanus infections? Tetanus lives in the soil and enters the body through breaks in the skin, especially when using sharp tools, digging in the dirt, or handling plants with sharp points. Before you start gardening this season, make sure your tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis (Tdap) vaccination is up-to-date. ... Enjoy the day, stay hydrated, and don't forget your sunscreen!!

A thought for today: For those of us that are spending a LOT of time at home, and finding all sorts of projects to do, please consider donating some of those items that you normally would put out for the trash. Don't need that couch anymore? Donate it! Swapping out your old (still working) faucet for a different style? Donate it! The earth doesn't need another couch or faucet sitting in a landfill, and someone else might appreciate something that is "new" to them. St...ay safe, everyone!! https://mailchi.mp/habitatbuffalo/we-made-a-promise

To Our Patients: As everyone knows, the Coronavirus/Covid 19 is very active in Erie County. At our office, we are taking every possible precaution to ensure that your visit here is as safe as possible. As per the guidelines of the New York State Department of Health and the CDC, we have instituted the following procedures: ... All surfaces that are touched in the waiting room, restroom and treatment rooms will be wiped down and disinfected after every patient. Scheduling has been changed to allow for only one person at a time in the waiting room. (This makes it VERY IMPORTANT that you arrive at your appointment time - not early, not late.) After almost 40 years of practice, Dr. Bluestein is wearing scrubs, no tie! To also help reduce the spread of germs, he will no longer shake hands a form of greeting. It's not personal :) If your visit is not of an urgent nature and you choose to stay at home, we respect and appreciate your choice. Please let us know that you wish to cancel in advance, so that we can offer the time to someone else. And finally, stay safe, and well!! We will look forward to seeing you in the future, when life again is more like "normal".

Wow! Amazing weather these last couple of weeks. And the wind today adds yet another quirk to the already strange weather patterns!! Watch out for random objects that may get picked up and thrown around in the stronger gusts. And as always, stay safe and warm.
