COVID-19 Travel Info Related to F1 International Students: President Biden issued a Proclamation today that calls for the continuation of the 14-day U.S. entry restrictions on individuals who were recently present in the Schengen Area, UK, Ireland, Brazil, China, or Iran. Additionally, effective January 30, 2021, South Africa will be added to the list of countries. Detailed updates can be found at the following link https://www.nafsa.org//biden-administration-immigration-po... *National Interest Exceptions (NIE) for Certain Travelers from the Schengen Area, United Kingdom, and Ireland: https://bit.ly/3a4vChX Students traveling from the Schengen Area, the UK, and Ireland with valid F-1 and M-1 visas do not need to contact an embassy or consulate to seek an individual national interest exception to travel. Students seeking to apply for new F-1 or M-1 visas should check the status of visa services at the nearest embassy or consulate; those applicants who are found to be otherwise qualified for an F-1 or M-1 visa will automatically be considered for a national interest exception to travel.
