No equipment needed. All levels are welcome to join us and ease back, knee, neck tension. ... Strength Session Mondays 7pm 30 mins of Strength Exercises using hand weights or a kettlebell. Progression felt every week as we work through short sets to feel stronger, leaner and up for the challenge Total Body Tuesdays & Thursdays 6.30am. Saturdays 8am 45 mins of full body exercises. Options are given to be able to use hand weights, resistance bands or a kettlebell (you can also join without equipment) HIIT 30 Mondays 9.15am & 6.30pm, Fridays 9.15am 30 mins of interval training. Rituals; the good and the bad. By definition "a ritual is a sequence of activities involving words, actions etc. performed according to a set sequence. The term ritual is sometimes used in a technical sense for a repetitive behavior systematically used by a person to neutralize or prevent anxiety" So lets take a moment to think about the rituals we have in our lives, the ones we are conscious of and the ones we are unconsciously doing every day. For example:... Exercise is a ritual. Daily activity is a healthy habit. Eating breakfast is a ritual. What we choose to eat can be a healthy habit, but it can also be an unhealthy one. Drinking a glass of wine (or any alcohol) to relax is a ritual. But is a a healthy habit? Scrolling through social media is a ritual. But is it a productive use of my time? Next step...Take a walk, go for a drive, a bike ride, a run with the purpose of being aware of your daily rituals. Are they working for you? Are you aware of what your habits create for you and the people around you? Do you like what you are doing? Then... what changes do you want to start making? Progress starts with acknowledging there needs to be a change. What excites me about this mindful exercise, is that I can reset and redesign my rituals to make room/time to focus on healthier habits. Everyone has different rituals, its part of being human. We are in a fortunate position where we get to choose what does and does not make us happy, feel good and healthy. Lets make sure we are making the most of it.
