I gained weight last year after a soar throat. I became tired all the time. The second sleep study did not show sleep apnea like the first one did years ago before my previous weight loss. I bought a CPAP with my own money. I feel like I got a shot of adrenaline in the arm. I have so much energy after one night. I am sure my fitness will get back on track. I think a CPAP is a great possibility if you have put on size, sleep more and have less energy. For some, being a small fit guy may be better than a bodybuilder.
It is easy for a cold or even a minor injury to wipe out your progress. Keep doing progress photos. I have a photo like a beginning photo right now because of a string of problems. Currently my wrist is a problem. I am resting my wrist from heavy weights, and trying to lose weight. I use light weights for my wrists and do my own gentle yoga routine. I am sure I will be back to lifting large weights. Always take care of yourself.

Getting back into working out after a lay off is a time to be careful. You probably can not do as much as you did before the break. If you do not work out for more than a couple weeks, take it easy in the beginning. Gradually work up to your previous work load. Maybe do not work out for, as long or do exercises as many days per week. Build up to your previous routine gradually. It is almost like being a beginner all over again, when you have been unable to work out after a time.
