Lt Joe Vecchio shared his knowledge on Tesla cars and their batteries at tonight’s drill. So good to have updated information on the latest technology so our first responders are prepared for any emergency that may arise!

We are sad to announce that former Fire Department member William Sawtell has passed away. We send our love and condolences to his wife, Shirley, and his family and are truly appreciative of all they have, and continue to do, for our department and the community. Rest In Peace, old friend!

I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and want thank everyone who has helped out for our drive through Halloween and Santa events. Especially Linda Church, who put in a lot of time and effort with both events. Also to Michelle Williams-Swing ,Becky Leubner for their help and support. These events could not happen without your help.

We will leave the Christmas decorations up tonight for everyone to enjoy our Light in Borodino drive through.

Congratulations to James Leubner on his graduation from the NYS Office of Fire Protection Basic Exterior Fire Operations course! James is one of our two new members who excelled in BEFO this fall. Way to go, guys!!

The Borodino Volunteer Fire Department was selected as a winner of the 2020 America’s Farmers Grow Communities Grant sponsored by the Bayer Fund! Thank you Mrs. Alice Leubner for nominating us for this honor! The funds received will purchase Fire and EMS equipment that will directly support our community and its members.
