Our Cub Scout Pack is holding a recruitment event tomorrow at Walnut Mt. Park in Liberty. Activities begin at 1pm. Interested in Cub Scouting? Want to know more about scouting in general and all it has to offer? Please stop by and experience a sampling of the activities and information Cub Scouts can offer. Cub Scouts is for boys and girls. Our Boy Scouts will also be in attendance for any older siblings with interest in joining our Troop. Please check out our flyer below for more information!

If your unit is meeting the week of October 3rd consider wearing green Tshirts or bands or whatever works for you for Mental Illness Awareness Week. Green is a... very popular scout color but also represents Mental Health. In addition, NAMI is offering to present an Ending the Silence presentation to your unit (middle school and above) please reach out if you’d like to bring this to your scouts or to your adults.

Please support the Scouts of Troop 717 at our Bottles and Cans Recycling Fundraiser! From now through the end of September, please donate your 5 cent deposit bottles and cans at Coins to Dollars in Liberty. They will tally up all donations received for our troop. See flyer for details. This is an easy and great way to support our Scouts while also staying socially distant with basically contactless donations. Please share our flyer with all your friends, families, neighbors, and coworkers! Thanks again for supporting our Scouts!

A new award from the EPA, in collaboration with the BSA, will support Scouting activities from April-Dec., 2021, and is timed to celebrate 50 years of the EPA. "The EPA-sponsored award will challenge Scouts to learn about, explore, and conserve the world around them as part of an awareness campaign to educate the public about EPA’s accomplishment during its first 50 years and develop the vision for the next 50 years."
