As of right now, 11/8/2020, we have not received any updates if/when we are allowed to reopen our office due to the City of Elmira in Chemung Country still being in the "Orange Zone." "Certain non-essential businesses, for which there is a higher risk of transmission of the COVID-19 virus, shall reduce in-person workforce by 100%; such businesses include: Gyms, fitness centers or classes... Hair salons and barbershops All other personal care services including but not limited to spas, tattoo or piercing parlors, nail technicians and nail salons, cosmetologists, estheticians, the provision of laser hair removal and electrolysis" While reopening in early July this year, massage therapy has fallen under the "Personal Care" category with salons, spas, esteticians, etc., as listed above. Updates have been few and far between, especially recently during these last few days with the election. At this time, we are unsure when we will be allowed to open our doors again. Chemung County will need to move to the "Yellow Zone" in order for us to reopen and begin accepting appointments and rescheduling canceled appointments. We will keep you updated as we learn more. In the meantime, please remain safe and message us with any questions you have. To all of our Clients from areas near and far, On Thursday, October 22nd, 2020 at 11:59pm, we were required to shut down our practice for a minimum of 14 days ("most likely"). This is due to the City of Elmira being in the Orange with COVID-19 active cases. We are thankful for our clients who have always being so proactive and calling our office ahead of time to reschedule their appointments if they feel they are unwell or may be experiencing symptoms. We have continued to k...eep up with our prescreening protocols before closing and will continue them when it is deemed safe to reopen. Because of efforts on both parts, we have kept our staff and our clients safe from COVID-19 within our office. Thank you for your patience during our scheduling and rescheduling process, this is out of our control, as our business does not fall under the category of essential businesses at this time. We will keep you all updated when we know more information. In the meantime, we recommend yoga for your at-home care! This again is out of our control.
