Breathe is ready for 2021! I would love to say that we are not looking back, but too much happened to not acknowledge. Closing the studio in March was one of the saddest days I have ever experienced. There were some pretty dark days in the months that followed when we didn’t know what the shut down would mean for our studio. What I am most proud of in 2020 is how we quickly pivoted the business and all that we managed to accomplish! We had virtual classes up and running in 2 ...days, we had recordings of classes available within a couple of weeks, by June we had outdoor classes six days a week, we created and made our own outdoor barre balance sticks, in September we piloted a Reset program, hosted a cleanse and launched an On-Demand video library, we hosted three charity classes and in December we rolled out a Perks program! All that actually happened during a pandemic! I am pretty proud of us! All of this was possible because I had lots of help! My husband spent countless hours on my marketing, my website, technology, AV, consultanting and everything! He is so supportive and I will forever be grateful. My team (Cari, Rita, Kristina and Laura) have been an amazing support and have put so much heart and creativity into all that Breathe has accomplished this past year. I am the luckiest to have them at my side to laugh, cry and sweat with! My landlord Piper has been very thoughtful, generous, flexible and creative in helping us! We were also very grateful to receive a grant from Rhinebeck Responds and support from other local businesses like Market St. And most of all, we are still here doing all of this because our members believe in us, motivate us and have been an overwhelming support in so many ways! Breathe is nothing without its members, they are what makes up our special studio. They make up the energy when you walk through those doors. What are blockages? Blockages can occur as a result of undealt with trauma (whether known or unknown) stored within the body.
