As is tradition this time of year, our company assembled to reflect on last year's accomplishments & get pumped for the year ahead... We all know the challenges that 2020 presented in & out of the workplace... In March, we were deemed "non-essential" & I wondered if I'd ever help someone's real estate goal become reality again... Well, adaptation took place and fast forward to today... It's not often that I'm at a loss for words so mark the calendar: today was ...the day! Why? SO many reasons: Our company remains the #1 independent brokerage in the Capital Region Despite not being able to have our fundraiser, we were still able to donate $10k to Albany Medical Center's Children's' Hospital. I was nominated for the Team Player award I qualified for Miranda's President's Club I'm the #1 agent in Scotia-Glenville based on sales volume. I did help real estate goals become reality after March.... In fact, I ended up having a RECORD YEAR which placed me as #2 in the company along with the honor of receiving the Quantum Leap Award. The BEST award though?? Your trust in asking me to guide you through your buying & selling adventures. THANK YOU!! It was fitting that today’s closing held the extra special spot of first closing of 2021... Its tale truly began decades ago when my husband became friends with the owner’s son. Fast forward through the owner helping us buy our first house (yup! It’s true!) & a few decades later, I was called to help them abandon the flight of the snowbird. Then the fun really began... Some awesome pics were taken (thanks Elizabeth!), the house hit the market, buyers took notice, ...and in 5 days we were under contract anticipating a mid-Sept closing. As real estate tends to do however, some surprises came our way... But as dedicated agents must do, we seek solutions. Today, I literally had goosebumps & tears in my eyes as I got to meet the most patient buyer on the planet along with his most professional, pleasant, & dedicated agent, Nathan D.
