Busy weekend fighting fires triggered by the wind! Midday Saturday 3/13, the Briarcliff Manor Fire Department was requested to help Buchanan fight an unusually large brush fire in a remote spot. Utility 205, our recently purchased Polaris UTV and Car 2052 responded and spent hours shuttling equipment and digging fire lines. On Sunday Engine 94 responded to Pleasantville for another big brush fire. E94, Car 2052 and Car 2053 spent 2 hours assisting with water supply. The Briarcliff Manor Fire Department is proud to announce that 3 of Briarcliff’s bravest have completed their New York State Firefighter 1 training.
