It's the Birthday of Anna Marie Pearce (better known to most of us as Patty Duke). Thanks to her old friend Scarlet Smith, Anna made a personal appearance at our little space shortly after we opened our doors to the public. We'll always be so grateful for her generosity - it really put us on the map locally at a time when we needed it the most. Charming, gracious, and a total class act - we miss her.

Yet one more generous gift made its way to our mailbox this morning. Thank you so much, Howard Ghee (fan of our work since he first saw it in 1999, back in the Kaliyuga Arts days)!

Checks both great and small in our mailbox this morning! And we're sincerely grateful for every single cent! Thanks to David Fried, Jill Blitzer, Wendy Backus, Deena LeBow & Rodney Alan Greenblat, and Cindy Putorti for your continued belief in and support of our work. You're making GREAT things possible in 2021!

We've been absolutely blown away by the support all of you have given our theatre during this unprecedented lockdown. Special thanks today go to Frank Cuthbert, Greg Powell, Susan & Richard Goldman, Joan Rogers, and Margaret Donahue. Your contributions have made it possible for us to begin a cautious, tentative attempt at scheduling a curtailed (but full) season of plays beginning (hopefully) in the summer of 2021. Till then, please stay safe and healthy and keep checking back for all the online content we're positng in the interim! WE LOVE YOU!

An absolutely magical essay written for the Transport Group by one of the true friends of Bridge Street Theatre, Charles Busch. Enjoy! "On August 15, 2016, I finally got to play Peter Pan. Thank you, Transport Group. I’d long been an admirer of their work. Their innovative production of I Remember Mama is on my list of all-time favorite theatrical experiences. So, it was a lovely surprise when Transport Group’s Artistic Director, Jack Cummings, asked me to narrate a one-n...Continue reading

The magnificent Francesca Avani created this clip in collaboration with JD Urban. Keeping our fingers crossed that Bridge Street Belly Dance will be making a re-appearance during 2021!
