First round of Oriental lilies all crated up and ready to grow! I will keep planting a new batch every month through July...love how easy they are to schedule, so I never run out of this easy focal for bouquets. Last year I planted half Asiatics, but they were much less impressive and didn’t last nearly as long in the vase, so I’m only plastic orientals and a few LA hybrids. Trying the seran-wrap method of storing dahlia tubers! My first experience digging, washing and dividing dahlias....which multiplied easily tenfold (from 50 to 500 in one season)! From here they will go in our 45 degree cooler till next spring....I’m beginning to appreciate how much work dahlias quickly become, but also how addictive they are to collect and grow!!
