Today in History: The 13th Amendment abolishing slavery was passed by the Senate in 1864. (The House of Representatives passed it in January 1865; the amendment was ratified and adopted in December 1865.)

It’s important that our money reflects the history and diversity of our country, Ms. Psaki said.
