Our July repertory (July 14 - 31) will include Melinda Lopez's brilliantly human story, Mala, starring Mary Mendez Rizzo. Mala is a first generation daughter who is facing the difficult journey so many of us make, saying goodbye to a parent who is nearing the end of their life. With humor and hope, Mala balances her mother's care, her own family and career, and her search for closure. An irreverent and life-affirming exploration of how we live, cope and survive in the moment. And what it means to put our loved ones first, right to the very end.

Playing in repertory with Just the Ticket (see yesterday's post) from June 9 - 26 will be Florida Girls, a comedy by Nancy Hasty. Set in 1965 on the Florida Panhandle, you'll meet the Van Helms Family who are just trying to get by as teen daughters Christine and Dee compete against each other for the coveted title of Miss Claryville, and the hilarious family drama escalates to an all time high! One actress plays three generations of this loveable family--from baby Lee-Ann to feisty Grandma--and their wacky friends and neighbors. This week we're going to share a bit more about the productions slated for our Summer 2021 live season. Playing from June 9 - 26, Just the Ticket, by Peter Quilter. Pam Feicht will star as Susan, an eccentric and charmingly chatty traveller who's on her way to Australia to recreate the girls' trip she and her gal pals took when they were 20. This time she's on her own--but still carrying the same hopes and dreams...and 40 years of extra baggage! It's your passport to laughs!
