Working on a three layer packing assembly for an exhaust with a carbon fiber shell. We made a steel wool tube using our HD steel wool which is good to 2200F. We wrapped that with a Spec 31 filled pillow and then slid them into a shell liner tube made with our carbon felt. The carbon felt helps eliminate any hot spots that can soften the resin in the muffler's carbon fiber shell.
