The Spirit living within each Christ-follower can be grieved when you sin. When this happens, you feel downcast and depressed that’s because the Spirit is bei...ng grieved and is stirring you to make the sin right through confession and repentance! If you deal with the sin the Spirit is joyful and you, in turn, experience joy. Ephesians 4:30 -- And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. (ESV)

Then Jesus said to his disciples: "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. For life is mo...re than food, and the body more than clothes. Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds!" Luke 12:22-23 (NIV)

As a Christ-follower your physical body is indwelt by God’s Spirit, so it has become the temple of the Holy Spirit! The actions and decisions we make in life ...must be made in light of our bodies housing God’s Holy Spirit. We are not our own! I Corinthians 6:19 -- Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own. (ESV)

It is humbling to recognize that all the good that is produced in our lives is by the grace of God! All the good others see in us, is because of God’s Spirit pr...oducing character qualities (fruit) within us that make us more like Christ. Galatians 5:22-23 -- But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. (ESV)

Sometimes you encounter some situation or circumstance that calls for prayer, and, yet, you have no idea how to address the need. God understands. The Spirit of... God prays in words that exactly address that unspeakable need and since He prays according to the will of the Father the Spirit’s prayers are always answered. Romans 8:26 -- Likewise, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. (ESV)

Jesus was about to be arrested, beaten brutally, and crucified to pay the sin penalty of the world. Yet, at that moment He reached out in love to the disciples,... knowing they were fearful, and assured them He would send them a Helper exactly like Himself! John 14:16-17 -- [Jesus said] I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you . . . (NASB)

Psalm 95:6-11 (HCSB) Come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the LORD our Maker. For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, the s...heep under His care. Today, if you hear His voice: Do not harden your hearts as at Meribah, as on that day at Massah in the wilderness where your fathers tested Me; they tried Me, though they had seen what I did. For 40 years I was disgusted with that generation; I said, They are a people whose hearts go astray; they do not know My ways. So I swore in My anger, They will not enter My rest.
