Hello and Good Afternoon, Join Bronx Independent Living Services as we hold a social injustice forum on December 4, 2020 from 11:00 AM 12:30 PM. SOCIAL INJUSTICE FORUM: A SERIES OF CONVERSATIONS TO DISCUSS MEANINGFUL CHANGE WITHIN THE DISABILITY COMMUNITY... During this powerful virtual event, six speakers, including two lawyers, will highlight their experiences on social injustice and disability. There will also be an opportunity where we encourage our audience to share their own thoughts on this very important topic. After this attendance of this event, you will be emailed a resource guide on how you can get involved in your community. 2020 has been a year of deep transformation in America. We have undergone tremendous change in health matters including the pandemic, the economy, environmentally, and more. Life as we know it is full of uncertainty, unrest, fear, and unimaginable challenges. In fact, just this year alone, many believe we are living through the largest racial justice movement in American history. Although we have come a long way, our society is still filled with inequality, oppression, and prejudice. Together we rise and share experiences, discuss resources, and educate one another on the power of social justice! Please refer to the flyer attached for more information on RSVP date and accommodation requests. Lastly, please register for the virtual event by using this link: https://zoom.us//regi/tJ0qc--vqjwvGdIBQ4KiQxK43W3gVTljU3Po
