It doesn't really feel like the holiday season until you've hung a festive seasonal wreath on your front door or gate. So we've invited Michelle Adams to the market this weekend with her collection of tasteful, decorative wreaths and boughs. You can focus on decor this week, and your menu next week. And don't forget to pick up a snazzy new apron from Diana Green. See you at the market!

While we may think of lobster and crab as summer indulgence, Dobbs Ferry Lobster Guys fish well into the fall. A guest vendor, these third-generation lobsterman from the Rivertowns are bringing fresh lobster and Jonah crabs straight from the cold Atlantic waters off of Long Island. They’ll also have frozen lobster tails and crab legs. Enjoy one last cold lobster roll or warm up with a decadent lobster grilled cheese. Or perhaps a seafood stew? The options are endless! Soup weather is here! There is frozen soup at the Market every week to stock your fridges and basement freezers for cold, rainy days. This week Homespun Chili visits with vegan and meat chili, including the ever-popular "succulent oink". The Nutmeg Cafe always has a rotation of seasonal soups lucky for us it's finally time for beef bourguignon! To round out this week's soup offerings, Bambino Ravioli Pastificio is bringing back their Italian classics, including white bean e...scarole. Serve with a toasted slice of Bien Cuit miche and you have a filling dinner ready in minutes. Lastly, if you missed Jody's Kitchen, she's coming back next week with her artisanal broths and soups, all made with seasonal ingredients from local farms. Please welcome three new "fall-inspired" vendors tomorrow: Birdie's Batch, a cool mom/daughter baking duo from Nyack. They will be bringing pumpkin bread, mini apple hand pies, maple-pecan sticky buns and gluten-free almond-orange cakes & walnut fudge brownies. They will have golden cornbread, perfect to accompany the popular belly-warming soups made by local chef Jody Hunter, here for the first time.Jody is bringing a white bean escarole and parmesan soup, a cauliflower carrot ginger soup, a cod and corn chowder (yum!), and her immunity booster broth. Also, HETTA Glogg from Hudson, NY is bringing their traditional (with a modern twist) Swedish glogg to sip around the fire pit with friends this holiday weekend ,six feet apart, natch. See you at the market!

Clearly we love our European artisanal spirits. Yet another unique alcoholic beverage from across the Atlantic makes their one and ONLY visit of the season. As temps head south, warm up with glögg from HETTA GLOGG Glögg is a traditional Scandinavian drink made with port wine, brandy, and spices and is usually served warm in tiny glasses. Have a few bottles at the ready so your socially-distant, outdoor winter gatherings won't be quite so cold. See you at the Market! L’Shanah Tovah. May you have a good and sweet New Year.

Bronxville Farmers' Market 04.08.2020

Last Saturday, a racial slur was used against a member of our community. Our outrage, anger, and deep sadness does not even begin to touch the surface of what this person had to endure. We want to extend our sincerest and deepest apologies to this shopper and unequivocally state that any and all racist behavior anywhere is intolerable and inexcusable. The person who committed this atrocious act has been banned from the Market for life. As much as many of us would like to vie...w this as an isolated event, it is not. The devaluation and dehumanization of Black Lives is an indelible part of our society. We must end this. Now. Black Lives Matter. Lastly, L' Shana Tova to our friends celebrating the New Year!
