Brookhaven IDA Closes on Incentives for Interstate Mechanical Services’ Relocation & Expansion Plans FARMINGVILLE, NY (November 13, 2020) Frederick C. Braun III, chairman of the Town of Brookhaven Industrial Development Agency (IDA), announced that the agency has recently closed on a package of economic development incentives for Interstate Mechanical Services of... Closter, N.J, a mechanical contractor and also a pipe fabricator. Interstate Mechanical Services will be financing a $4.5 million project for the purchase and refurbishing of an existing 58,000 square foot building, on 5.85 acres of land, located at 355 Sills Road in Yaphank. The company currently has a 30,000 square foot facility in Closter, New Jersey that they will retain. Their 20,000 square foot leased space in Maspeth will relocate operations to the Yaphank facility. This project falls under the Brookhaven IDA Adaptive Reuse Policy. Owner and President of Interstate Mechanical Services Inc. Richard W. Tully Jr. was raised on Long Island and graduated from Commack North High School in 1981. I am extremely proud to bring my company back to Long Island and I look forward to working with the Town of Brookhaven who made this possible, he stated. Providing economic incentives for the expansion of a manufacturing business like Interstate Mechanical Services will provide jobs and help move the Town’s economic engine forward, said Braun.
