Our snail whisperers have been taking excellent care of the snails that visit us in the yard after rainy days. We take them for walks, bring them food to eat and observe them closely before carefully returning them to where there were found.

Upon discovering a snail in the yard, the 2's classroom hypothesized what the snail will need. "Maybe if we run around the yard, it will come out." "I am going to leave the stick for it to eat." "Oh no! it's climbing off the table! We have to save it." ... "Don't worry snail, we won't hurt you." This is just one of the many ways the children are caring for their environment.
