Today, we are spotlighting Nigel Campbell and Chanel DaSilva for their dedication to cultivating diversity and equity in NYC’s dance community. Their nonprofit organization, @movenyc, was conceptualized during the Black Lives Matter movement as Campbell and DaSilva realized a need for more dancers of color in the industry. To help underrepresented communities gain access and support to dance opportunities, Chanel and Nigel provide tuition-free artistic training, mentorship, and professional development resources to artists beginning their careers.
