In the 1980s, my college pal John Rose and I found ourselves in a kind of niche-industry, as creators/peformers of wedding songs for our friends/colleagues. I wrote and played 'em, and John sang 'em. Lest the past slip totally out of memory, here is the wedding song I wrote at her request for my recently deceased friend and colleague, Linda Krause Brown - for her wedding to her husband of forty years, Steve. John and I recorded a studio version of it on our 1991 album, "Holy." It is now included in my 2CD collection album, "Fall Upon Us Now." (Texts are from Genesis, Song of Solomon, and Proverbs 31). I would like to say, I hope in the right spirit, that I was and am very proud of the work John and I did to make these wedding days special for our friends. May it all be for shalom.
